About Ryan

The broker you'd actually want a beer with.

Ryan started Box Seat Finance for a simple reason: getting a home loan in Australia had become confusing, impersonal and full of jargon — and it didn't need to be. He'd watched too many good people get generic advice from call centres, sign up for loans that didn't fit their lives, and never hear from their bank again.

So he built the opposite: one local broker, a wide panel of lenders, and every conversation in plain English. The name says it — with your finances sorted properly, you get the box seat view of your own future.

How Ryan works

01

Honesty first

If staying with your current bank is your best move, that's exactly what Ryan will tell you. Plenty of chats end with 'you're in a good spot'.

02

Plain English, always

If you leave a conversation more confused than you arrived, Ryan hasn't done his job. Ask anything — twice if you like.

03

Your goals set the strategy

Not sales targets, not lender incentives. The recommendation is built around your life, your buffer, your sleep-at-night number.

04

In it for the long game

Settlement isn't goodbye. Your loan gets reviewed as rates and life change — that's the whole point of having a broker in your corner.

Local means something here.

When your broker lives where you live, things are different. Ryan knows the suburbs, the valuers, the local market quirks — and you can actually sit down together over a coffee. But distance is never a problem either: phone and video chats work brilliantly for clients right across Australia.
